Pygmy Post-Whore Posts: 941 03/08/08 01:44 AM Pygmy Post-Whore	Tags : None Ok.....so I told y'all my days of auditioning with CBS were over right? I was sick of making it to semis only to be shot down...(6 and 0)...and that coupled with the fact that LS flat out told me it wasn't gonna happen...I decided to move over to ABC and try out for "the Mole"... Its a fun show and I thought I'd give it one last shot...you know...with a different network. What happens?! Semi-finals AGAIN!....oh, it gets better (or worse)...you see they do things a little different over there.....no video is submitted first...just an email and photo..then a phone conversation....and from that I made semi-finals.... Then at the semi-finals interview they loved me...so they handed me an envelope (which I guess only certain people got) and told me "CONGRATS YOU HAVE MOVED ON TO THE NEXT STAGE OF CASTING FOR THE MOLE" and it told me to have a video shot, edited and sent to their casting department in 72 freaking hours!! 72 hours?!! So I did.... and you know what? The deadline for callsback came and ended today.... WTF people!!! That's 7 and 0!!!!! OMG!!! SHOOT ME IN THE FACE! At least a few of my Pygmy friends were along the ride with me this time but I will let those who also made it this far reveal themselves as i will not out them. Oh well....does PBS have a reality show out there?

But the competitive fire has not yet died for me ... there's always Mole 4 (or 6, or however they're going to number it). Besides, I've set my sights on besting your 7 semi's record. ETA: To answer your question: yes, PBS does (or did) have a reality show. Started with "1900s House" (placing people in old-fashioned dress in a house equipped only with period amenities), then they did sequels set in old Plymouth, on a southern plantation, and then an old west ranch. No prize -- the experience was the reward.

It was supposed to be filmed in October, but I have yet to hear anything, any buzz, any promotion about it...I wonder if it ever ended up getting off the ground??? I will post about the Trek semi interview process in the Share thread later today...going through a Survivor semi did help me, as the process was similar...but different too.

I sent mine if after the deadline, called to tell them it was late, and they said "no problem", but I never heard back. I think you had to have a REAL backstory for that show. Disability, poverty, widowed with 5 kids, etc. I hope it makes it to TV, because it surely sounded like a true adventure.

I've found your videos to be fantastic (but sometimes scary). I found out this about moles. Papa mole sticks his head out in the spring. I too almost had an experience with The Mole, but the guy got back to me too late for me to make the last audition (believe me it was like one of those nightmares where you have to get someplace but you just can't get there!) Anyways, it's their loss for not putting you on the show! Keep on trying, it will happen when you least expect it!
