If they weren't going to cast 20, then why go through a "lame attempt" THIS EARLY? No, if they weren't going to cast it, then they would have
either not put up the app at all at the time it usually goes up (Friday before finale), or they would have put it up at the usual time (Friday before finale)
and said nothing.
Why put a ruse out now? Doesn't make sense. |

What do you make of this: "Filming is presently set to occur for cycles 19 and 20 in Summer to Fall of 2009" ? Are they filming them back to back or
have even seasons always been filmed in the fall? I though Tocantins wrapped in December. Please note, I am a lifelong Floridian and don't really know when
it is actually fall or winter.....

19 filming: late June to August
20 filming: late October/early November to mid-December at least that's been the pattern for the filming in the past. |

So wouldn't that making filming into/ending in Winter? The way it is worded it seems filming would take place starting in the Summer ending in Fall.

considering that TPTB left up an application that was full of edits and redlines, I wouldn't read too much into the Summer/Fall thing. Exactness isn't
exactly their forte!

I think I was misunderstood: Early in this tread I guessed that they were moving the filming of S20 to earlier than normal (and there is a rationale for that thinking). I think they have made the application a combo to cover both S19 and S20 in an effort to do just that - film earlier. LP's comment about not casting for S20 is also a possiblity if SEG is using past players. past applicants, recruits, or already has the people for S20 picked! Whatever is going on, I hope it will lead to a great surprise - I love surprises!

This is not a typo... they spell out 19 and 20.. they know what they are saying... This reminds me of Pearl Islands/All-Stars... they will film S19 and then S20... and that will be it... no hassle... life goes on. I mean they booked a hotel for crying out loud... they are not going anywhere.. it seems just like 8 and 9... they will film 19. pick a few to play again in 20 and have some sort of past player thingy for 20... maybe they are casting both right now as well... or, they don't know if they can book a good mix for 20 (past players.. they had a hard time for micro... everyone wanted guaranteed money) and might cast a tribe or two of regular folks.. I have no idea, but the location.. booking the hotels and changes in the application all lead to a great big finale... Jeff said he wanted 20 to be a winners game.. where all winners play for the title.. maybe that will happen. I hope not, I love my Survivor... maybe someone else will pick up the game if they drop it or maybe they are doing this Summer Theater project to make us sick of it....hahahahaha either way, I am excited to see how it all goes... I still have hopes to see us another pygmy or two... who knows? Stranger things have happened.

Maybe, just maybe in some far off place filled with hopes and dreams, 20 is going to be "Fans vs Fans" Twenty applicants that all think they have
what it takes to be the sole Survivor...No Mactors or bartenders or drug reps....real fans. They open the apps and go straight to the question that asks how
much Survivor you have seen to make sure you have seen them all. They are just getting an early start because they will leave no app unread, no video
unwatched......or it's an Allstars Part Deux.....All I am saying is please, please no Corinne or Coach.

I just hope that Les has the wisdom to remember his long time fans as he selects the FINAL cast... I hope they are smart enough to include many Long Time
Applicants... (Long Time Fans) and not just pick mactors and people who don't understand the game... If he does the later.. I will boycott the final show.
