Not sure what this means.. but I think it might be along the lines that Sceptic was thinking. I think the days of them having scheduled casting periods is over. I think they are constantly on a search.. I think the casting has also moved to the internet in the form of the social media explosion. Facebook, social networking sites such as LinkedIn, Twitter, etc etc... The casting people are out there, but are you reaching them, are they seeing you? Have a blog about something you like to do? Get one if you have the time. A lot of areas are starting to blur for people, work, private life, etc.. The casting folks want to get that big picture of you, so tell them about you online on Facebook, etc. It's funny how just a few years ago this was frowned upon, or at least some of us thought it was, but I really think the younger the CAs get the easier it is for them to find interesting personalities, personas, characters, jobs, etc. It's the instant generation.. they want immediate results and answers.

I would have to guess that Lynne has a list of "personas" that she wants to see on the show. The blatant homosexual, the southerner, the asshole, the egoist, the model, the princess... and the list goes on. She hands that out to the CAs and they set out searching on the Internet, in the communities, etc. They can see through a lot of bullshit because they have had a lot of practice over these last 10 years.. so just be yourself, get into some social media platform. You can't do anything more than be yourself. I am right there next to you when you talk about your desire to be on the show, but you can't do anything more than be yourself.. now it is just a matter of marketing yourself to the right audience, and that is those CAs..

There are thousands of social media sites out there, from Facebook to others that are very industry specific (for example Ad Gabber, a social media site for advertising professionals)

Find your tribe, lead your tribe, make up your own tribe, and get on the internet.. whether you are a mom who does reviews of local establishments for how friendly they are to toddlers, to guys who obsess about only wearing Nike shoes.. you can probably find a community for it.. Just like Pygmy Island is a community for us hardcore Survivor dorks... Hey! I think I just went off on a tangent! Is that what this is called a tangent? WTF is a tangent and where did that word come from.
