calls | #21 | ||

Hey Spamispork, I am pretty sure that they would leave a message if they called. I can't be for certain about it, but pretty positive. I want to wish
everyone good luck this time around and may God be with all of us as we wait. This is always the hardest part for me.

Yes, they leave messages. For Survivor 12, I was away on a work trip and at the time I didn't have a cell phone. The guy called my work and left a
message. When I got back, a week later, I got the message and called him back. Left him a message. He then called me back and left me another message.
Finally we caught up the next day. Unfortunately after all of that, I bombed hard! Oh well.

Ah, probably just another stupid telemarketer trying to peddle me their useless wares. Curse the grounds upon which they tread!

It sure is quite around here. I would think that calls should be starting within the next few weeks. This is the time that I thrive on the excited energy.
Hope to see some of you in Santa Monica in a month or so. Just remember....be YOURSELF when they call!

Calls | #25 | ||

I am sure the calls have been going out as they come across folks that fit the bill.... there are a lot of peeps to look at and when they find a
fit.. they give a buzz... if it fits.. it goes in the good pile, if not into the junk pile and call more possible fits.. If they are running out of time...
they recruit.

Laughing Pygmy wrote: So are you saying that we are Fucked? As someone who has never been called after what seems like thousands of applications this is what I am thinking....... Eternal return (also known as "eternal recurrence") is a concept which posits that
the universe has been recurring,
and will continue to recur in a self-similar form an infinite number of times. The concept has roots in ancient Egypt, and was subsequently taken up by the
Pythagoreans and Stoics.

damn sixteen you throw in the most random shit....
so true pygmy, at least i guess since i'm in the boat with sixteen tons of apps, no calls,,,, but i imagine that's how it works. just like when i'm looking at job resumes, this one in the maybe pile, that one in the hell NO pile... then at the end when pickin's are slim i start calling former coworkers begging them to apply... yep, that's the way it goes. wait, i meant when i USED to look at job resumes,,, back when we had jobs to fill... The Pythagoreans live on the far side of the island. They're the ones with the calculators and the pointy heads.

Po, when the Island was jumping around in time I met up with some Pythagoreans. They are also known as "others". I became their leader, but
it's a complicated story.

Sixteen on Center....that is some funny shit. That video reminds me of my daughter working at a fast food joint. We kinda live out in the middle of Gods
land, and she came home from work one time and told me how frustrated she gets with people. She then proceded to tell me some lady came through the drive thru
and asked her if the indians made the hills that were close to the restaurant. My daughter was like....WTF. One time she had a lady come through and tell her
she thought that we were all nice cuz we put fans out in the pastures for our cows!
( they are called windmills and they serve a purpose) People kill me!!!

LP, you never did get around to telling me if you think we are screwed?
If you had to guess on how screwed we are if we haven't gotten a call back yet, would you say that we are somewhere between, not at all and entirely? Running, I would say so WTF? Since when do Indians make hills? Like burial mounds? It was probably the above ground septic system for the restaurant known as a "mound system".

Sending in your app at the end? | #39 | ||
|
So since this thread seems to get a lot of people, I have a question - are people that send in their apps last minute at a disadvantage, or do they really and
truly look at all the apps? It seems to me that as the apps start coming in they would look thru them and sort them and that once they found enough for their
calls and/or finals that maybe they'd just quit? Are there confirmed contestants on past survivors that turned in their apps near the end? Just stressing
and waiting - I always turn mine in near the end, and have never gotten a call, and thinking maybe they've never even seen my app...Any enlightenment would
be helpful!
