Does anyone know how callbacks are handled now that there's no longer a deadline? I just sent in my application, but I'm wondering who would actually
be available to read it since they've assumably got their hands full with seasons 19 and 20.

Is, that is an interesting question! I have no "inside" knowledge other than just a hunch that the casting process must be complete or nearly complete for 20 since they are doing back to back seasons for this cycle. I would say that if there are some characters that truly stand out from those submitted they would might still be invited to LA so they could see more of you. But, the lions share of the casting would need to be done IMO. Good luck, however! I hope your application and video stands out. |

Thanks. I'm with you... I don't think anyone who submits their applicationnow would have much chance for season 20 unless it was a complete standout.
I'm just hopeful they keep the early-summer appliers in mind when casting time for 21 comes (if it comes) many, many months down the road.
On the plus side, thanks to the rolling submissions I could probably resubmit a much better video for 21 if I don't hear anything this time. I think I did a great job with the written portion and I have some personal features that represent a class of people I'm surprised they've never had on the show, but I made some major rookie mistakes in my video (not highlighting my features or uniqueness enough, too much editing, not enough substance) that I'd like to correct. |

Yeah, I'm thinking if you are going to Samoa for 20, you'll probably know by now. I still haven't sent my video in b/c my gut tells me it's
pointless so I have been unmotivated...but it's filmed/written/packaged so I plan to drop in the mail this week and hope I am wrong or that it will be
reviewed for 21, which would be more convinient for me anyway.

As far as callbacks, I noticed that 300 received his call within a week of arrival. I got a cal a few cycles back and it came within 48 hrs. of receipt. So
Val, you are probably right, if you are going to Samoa you would probably know by now.
