ImPhoto, you know you're a pretty cool cat yourself. I loved that your mama and sis and bro in-law made breakfast for us. That was not neccessary, but
truely appreciated. The food was great. I hope I wll be invited next year. My husband and son loved it and my boy enjoyed playing the drums. That was so much
fun. I look forward to seeing you all again and please anytime you ar coming through Charles City Iowa, you too Daina, please stop in to say hello. We'll
fix you lunch ok.

Iowa has the best sweet corn. Have I mentioned that before?

Speaking of corn.....I can't recall for sure but I thought it was in Goban they gave corn as a supply. Was it like, maize? Did they also supply you with
cal to cook the corn properly?

It was hog feed in my opinion. You had to soak and cook the corn for hours, so Bob and I let it sit overnight on the fire, so the corn and beans would be
soft(er), still not very good eating, but when you are starving, you eat what you get. I didn't care for the corn, so I would give it away, tried to split
it fairly, so took turns giving it to different people everyday.
Good question. Susie

Yeah, I would think it would be practically inedible. What is the rice like? Is it raw brown rice or is it like the enriched long grain you can buy in the
store? I'm a foody so this stuff interests me, lol. I'd totally be the one out there trying to make tortillas and refried beans :P
