I've been out of the country and unable to get to a computer or television until tonight. Good television again by Randy. This business is about good TV, and Randy is it. Like him or loathe him, he delivered. The episode was highly entertaining, but I hated to see it end the way it did for two reasons. One, it wasn't good gameplay (imo), and no one deserves to be humiliated like that. And two, I really was a Bob fan until I saw this tribal council. I lost two players I was really rooting for in one incident. Thank you Randy for encouraging SEG to look carefully at Pygmies as good candidates for the show.

Doesn't really seem to be a lead in any alliance but has held on and done what he needed to do to stay in the game. The win in the last challenge was his best performance. Now he needs to do it again. The one thing that messes up alliances is when the vote wins the challenge. Makes the others paranoid and gives you a chance. This is Bob's only hope now. Strategy Meter: 6 Ability Meter: 8 Matty If I have to hear Jamie one more time….. Matty is bouncing all over the place and he seems to only really come out when the challenges are going on. He loves the games but isn't playing THE GAME. No alliances. Sugar is a friend. He has kept his head down and dodged most votes but now people see him as a challenge threat. How many Challenges has he won? Will be gone soon and should be happy that he has made it this far. Strategy Meter: 2 Ability Meter: 4 Sugar She has been a swing vote in most tribal's so far. No clear alliance and it has served her well. Much like Cirie but unlike her, Sugar is not doing any planning now. She is still just cruzin along. As much as Kenny has tried to direct votes Sugar has been the one really deciding who goes. Sugar can win if she gets to the finals but I don't see that happening with out any alliance building. She has been very fortunate that others have been bigger targets and that the Onion Alliance took one lethal hit that has exploded the Onion from within. She also losses points for stabbing Randy in the back the way that it went down. Good game play, yes but when you act like a child when it happens, it gets you a big L on your forehead. Sorry Sugar but you have no chance of winning this game now because of that. I was happy to see Bob call you out on it. Strategy Meter: 3 Ability Meter: 2 Susie A pygmy and she is still there. She can put on her Resume that she was the reason for the Invasion of the Onion. She made the choice and changed the direction of this game and it could get her to final 3. She seems to be tight with Kenny and Crystal which helps her. Problem is, it just makes her a body in the game. No strategy, no plan. She is hoping K and C let her tag along as long as she gives them her vote. She might as well just tell Kenny to go write it down for her at tribal. Strategy Meter: 3 Ability Meter: 3 (This high only because she made fire which was awesome) Crystal She has played the mad black woman role throughout. Unfortunately for us, she has also been shown as lazy and worthless in challenges. Crystal will tell you that she has been playing this game since day one but what I have seen is someone who is no threat at all in winning challenges or organizing any kind of Alliance which doesn't put any kind of target on her. Her best move in the game was to team up with Kenny and let him make the moves. Crystal has no chance of winning the game. Strategy Meter: 3 Ability Meter: 1 Kenny Kenny has been weaving a web since the 3^rd episode when he decided that he better start playing instead of finding a girlfriend. Eating a termite dinner on his first date in the first episode might be memorable but having a girlfriend in the game does not help you one bit. He found someone that had his back. Crystal and that one move has been his most strategic in the game. He has orchestrated moves that where easy and simple. His tribe was a shambles and still would be if there wasn't a tribe swap. There have been a lot of lame duck contestants that where far too easy targets. Ace was his greatest achievement in the game so far. That was a classic blindside. Kenny's game has been good behind the scenes but who has he gotten to be on his side other than Crystal? Who will vote for him? This will be his biggest obstacle because the jury members so far don't like him. Randy maybe. Corinne? We shall see. The only chance Kenny has to win now is to have Crystal sitting next to him along with Susie at Final tribal. That has to be his goal now. Strategy Meter: 8 Ability Meter: 4 Right now, I see Kenny and Bob having the biggest advantage to win this game if they make it. Others in the game should be trying to get rid of these two if they want to win. That would make this season a toss up for the winner if either of these 2 go. The next episode should be anti climactic leading up to the final tribal. Even the final will be a little boring as it seems the Jurors are more concerned about how they coordinate together when they are sitting on the jury side. Come on randy. He didn't start playing the game until the first time he was sent to Exile Island, and if he had thought it through more, he wouldn't have tried a second fake idol, knowing everyone knew the first one was a fake. He should have just approached Kenny and Crystal with the proposed blindside of Matty without the idol nonsense, and I think they would have gone for it.

Kenny and Crystal are tight. Sugar and Matty seem to be working together. Sugar is a floater though. Susie is looking for a way to make her stock rise. Bob's game play was to provide. Thats it. And hope they kept him around long enough because of it. That gets you deep into the game but does not get you a win. Now he is winning challenges so that is his Ace in the hole. HAHAHAHA. He is gone next if he doesn't win the nect IC. Kenny deserves some credit. He is still the beneficiary of some luck throughout the game. Only problem is she only wins if the Jury hates all other options. She simply has to be there with Sugar and Crystal to even have a shot, and even then it's an uphill battle for her because Crystal has played a more visible (though more abrasive) game. She's been a part of most of the game's main alliances (Randy's original Fang alliance, the Onions, and the current Fang 5), and she made the biggest game-changing move in the Marcus boot. However, she's going to have to own that move and not allow Crystal or Kenny to take the credit for it. Mentioning the fact that she needs the money might not be a bad idea, because this Jury seems poised to vote purely based on emotion, and being a working-class mom might get some sympathy. However, she needs to avoid overly relying on it a la Denise. If Sugar is with her in the finals, no matter who wins, Susie at least gets second. She seems to be a lock for Matty's vote (at least, if she does the smart thing and doesn't allow him near the finals). Sugar: Will make the finals without a doubt. She's the game's ultimate goat even though she's being portrayed as a mastermind. In fact, I don't think we've seen a finalist portrayed so blatantly by the editing since Earl and Dreamz in Fiji. Not to mention the Onions' post-game interviews all but guarantee that they will rip her to shreds at the final Tribal Council. They hate her, and unless this is all some grand misdirection on their part, she's getting third place. I can't think of anyone she could potentially beat, or even get second place over. Crystal: Sugar seems caught between two different alliances - Crystal/Kenny and Susie/Matty. The best thing for all the girls is to ditch their guys and go to the finals together, but if that doesn't happen then Crystal better hope and pray that Sugar picks her side. Otherwise, it's bye-bye Crystal! Despite her weakness in team challenges, the fact is she's still an Olympian and not someone you'd want to go up against in a final immunity challenge. If she makes the finals, her only shot is against the two girls. Otherwise, she'd place second to Bob, Matty, or Kenny. She might beat Susie, but that would require the Onions to relinquish their grudge against her. Granted, they'd have to relinquish their grudge against Susie for Susie to win, too. Which grudge is stronger? We've seen more Onion conflict with Crystal than with Susie. All of the Susie bashing has been done through hearsay, while we've seen Crystal being loud, abrasive, and bossy. But this could be misdirection on the part of the editing. Crystal has been more dominant strategically, and if the Onions decide to vote based on gameplay, then she's our winner in an all-girl Final 3. Kenny: Made a dumb mistake in voting for Matty when he had absolutely no reason to. Seriously, if he thought Corinne and Bob had a Hidden Idol why didn't he just let them play it and eliminate Matty on their own without getting his hands dirty? This failed betrayal could cause Matty and Susie to kick it into high gear next week and volley for Sugar's vote, and maybe even pull Bob in as well, since Bob seems to connect much more with Matty, Susie, and Sugar than with Kenny and Crystal. If Sugar sides with Matty/Susie, and Bob wins immunity (as he's prone to do), then Kenny's out of there at final six, and Crystal goes at final five. If Kenny can somehow still convince Sugar to trust him (and the girl might just be dumb enough to do that, having had the wool pulled over her eyes twice already), then Kenny/Crystal are safe and Bob or Matty are out, depending on who wins immunity. It's a critical time of the game for him, and once again his life in the game depends on the pin-up girl. If he can waltz with her to the Final 3, he's golden, because although he's a schemer, the Onions seem to like him best. Matty: In a very precarious position. There's really no evidence that Sugar prefers him and Susie over Crystal and Kenny, and she's the only way he makes it another round. Susie has the advantage of being perceived as a non-threat. Susie could stick around just based on her "goat" status. Matty, however, is not only a physical threat but also one of the most all-around well-liked players. He's this season's "good guy," but that could cost him. His best option is to appeal to Sugar's "good side," and also to bring in Bob (since Bob seems to be a very traditional family man, and would cozy up with a newly engaged kid and a Midwestern mom quite well). If he plays this well, though, and gets to a final four of himself, Bob, Sugar, and Susie, he's in a good position. All he'd have to do is beat Bob in the final endurance challenge (and he's already shown he can do that), and then he would likely beat Sugar and Susie 7-0-0. Bob: Absolutely needs to win immunity next round. Granted, if there's any contestant that could do it, it's him. He's the Yau-Man of this season: the likable old man who happens to be a physical threat. Like Yau-Man, he would also win in any Jury vote, no matter who he sits next to. This means that, unless he wins the next three challenges, he has almost no shot at the million. My thinking is that he might try to align with Susie/Matty to create an alliance of "good people" as opposed to Crystal/Kenny's "bad people" alliance. Would his previous bond with Sugar be enough to switch her over to the other side? I think so, but I guess we'll see.

The jury is: Charley, Marcus, Randy,Corrine, Crystal, and the two that get booted Sunday. I simply don't see Susie getting Corrine, Marcus or Randy's vote for sure. Or the other two currently on there. However, had she went to final 3 with Crystal and Sugar, she had a chance or with Kenny and Crystal she might have had a chance. She betrayed most of the people currently on the jury and bitterness makes for fewer votes come final tribal. People don't vote the game most times. But, if Susie were to win the million..........my hat would be off to her! She was there and done that! "What's next.....a face lift?

And, look what happened. But, I was actually glad she gave Matty the idol. Sugar got on my nerves with the Randy thing. I felt that was a bit overplayed and really kinda uncalled for. But, Randy/Jerry can be quite the trip himself. Still, I would have liked to have seen those two make alot of trouble and locked up the game. However, it's always easier to use hindsight. I am glad Crystal is gone. That much I do know. Now, Kenny......take a cue from South Park and flee thy island. After that, anyone who wins will be ok. I see Susie as least likely to capture the votes...................but then again, she too should have been gone "logically" so you gotta give her kudos for NO ONE seeing her as important enough to boot. She can now go "booya" to the rest of 'em. Underestimation is the worst competitior of all. So, again, if Susie makes it to final 3.................good luck. "What's next.....a face lift?

I'm only surprised that Sugar focused on getting Crystal out instead of Kenny. A big "huh?" on that one. This episode proved what I have been saying since way back at the beginning, and if you don't believe me, I'll dig it up: that Sugar is a lot smarter than people give her credit for. I absolutely loved her shushing Matty and telling him "no! don't think about it - let ME do the thinking!". You know what else I loved? Well, as the year comes to a close, it's time to start looking at award-worthy performances. Bob: (clearly distressed over lying to Kenny) If I win the next immunity I'll give it to you. Kenny: (Long Pause) Okay. And...scene. I don't know who should win the acting award, but both Bob and Kenny gave stellar performances. I don't believe Bob was sorry for one second. He is playing the game. Just like Kenny. On the other hand, Kenny's sad "poor me" performance was so understated, so restrained that it almost warrants a spot at the final tribal council. Bob was never going to give him the necklace, but damn, I do appreciate Kenny's bravado. Plead for the necklace while you're planning Bob's blindside. Awesome. Kenny is setting himself up for a major ass whuppin'...or a million dollars. I love this kid. Love him. I miss Crystal already. I really do. She's fun to pick on, and she always, and I mean always, had something to say at tribal council. The woman was gold. Not bronze. Not silver. Gold. As in gold medalist. Favorite moment of the episode: Crystal trying so hard to prove her physical prowess that at the end of the reward challenge she actually attempted to dunk a ball on a four foot goal...that she towered over...and still missed. Second favorite moment: Watching Crystal try to make her way through the immunity challenge. We couldn't include every moment she went off the course, otherwise the challenge would still be going. To her credit, Crystal has always had a sense of humor about her lack of ability in challenges. Doesn't change the fact that she sucked. She did. Side note: When Bob was choosing two people to join him on reward, I said, "Two's fun, three's a party." It was an innocent comment. My friend, Serena, felt there was a sexual connotation to the comment. I was appalled. Those kind of dirty and inappropriate thoughts simply do not occur to me. When I am hosting, I am focused. Laser beam precision. Tunnel vision. The thought that somehow I had a Freudian slip that would reveal the truth of what I'm really thinking about out there is simply silly. Now, had it been my other friend, Alexis, who said it, it might have some validity; she's a bit of a psych job, so in an odd way her thinking often makes sense. Yes, I know I Just mentioned two women in the same sentence. Doesn't mean anything. Okay, moving onto the next position, sorry I mean topic. Sugar is a factor in this game. The sweet little pin-up model is very close to crying her way into the final. Who would ever think she would still be here this long? Not me. Never. How does it happen season after season? She wasn't even picked when they ranked their tribes. She wasn't picked! Then again, Bob was picked very late, so maybe all it means is that Marcus isn't as brilliant as he claims!! Ah-ha!! Okay, fine. Another gross exaggeration on my part. Marcus actually had the highest IQ of everyone this season. If you want to know who had the second highest IQ, watch the reunion show. I think you will be surprised. No, I've never taken the IQ test we give them. Because ignorance is bliss. No, I don't feel the need. Just back off. What? Why? That's crazy, I don't have anything to prove. I get paid whether I'm smart or not. Stop it. Go. Would you just go. I have to finish my blog. Sorry about that. My inner voice - drives me nuts sometimes. So, as we head into the finale, we are down to five: Sugar, Susie, Kenny, Matty, and Bob. Sugar is in an excellent spot to make it to the final vote. I'll give her credit. She has done a very good job of staying in this game and staying out of the way. She's survived a record number of days on Exile, she handled the power of the immunity idol beautifully, and she has earned her right to be in the final five. She could easily make it to the final vote. Susie is a question mark for me. She's riding coattails a bit, for sure, but she has done a good job of offering up her vote to the right people at the right time, and that has kept her out of the line of fire. Don't be surprised if she makes it to the final because everyone thinks they can beat her at the vote. Matty is a favorite. Has been from day one. I'm so happy he's still in the game. I just like how he wears his heart on his sleeve. Can he win? Yes. Can he make it to the end? Very difficult. He's an obvious target. Bob is another favorite of mine. Again, from day one. I like his straight-ahead approach, and I have a huge soft spot for Maine. Can he win? Yes. Can he get to the end? It's gonna be tough. He will probably have to win his way there through immunity challenges, otherwise I think they'll take him out. He has too many former tribemates on the jury. Kenny - I cannot believe Kenny is still in this game. I would have lost my house betting against him making it this far. He has an uphill battle if he's going to win because he has made a ton of enemies. But if he gets to the final with the right person or people, it could happen. Kenny could win this game. I'll say it right now. All things considered, I'm happy with this final five. There are three people I would be happy to see win and two people that if they win, I'll pretend I'm happy and quickly begin promoting next season. Remember, the big finale is this Sunday. A two-hour finale followed by the live reunion show where all these knuckleheads will be back together, and you can see who looks good and who looked better on the island. Now to prove to you that I read your comments, I will answer a few questions: Where did Bob get the beads to make the immunity necklace…? You can bet I'll be asking him that at the reunion show. Why did I throw Bob's fake immunity idol in the fire? Because that is what you do when someone plays a fake immunity idol! What, are you new? I totally understand that it was a work of art, and yes, it pained me to do it, but...is this an art exhibit or Survivor? Get over it. He can make another one. And if you want to see what's left of it, tune into the reunion show. Maybe I fished it out of the fire for him...or maybe I'll be wearing it around my neck...or maybe I'll just give it to Serena and call it a day. Regarding loved ones - there is clearly no right or wrong answer. Those of you who hate the loved ones episodes have miserable lives. Those of us who cry and enjoy the loved ones episodes for their outpouring of emotion are beautiful, loving, wonderful human beings without whom the world would be a dark and dreary place. To Dr. Zenith - thanks for the casting ideas, but I have to comment on the assertions that you and especially David Ellen (David, you made the blog!) continue to make: that we manipulate the game so that our favorites can win. Is the medication you're currently taking prescribed or do you buy it on the streets? If we could dictate who would win each season, then the following people never would have won: Tina in Australia, Vecepia in Marquesas, that soft-core porno dude in Thailand, Jenna in the Amazon, Sandra in Pearl Islands, Amber in All-Stars, Earl in Fiji, and Parvati in Fans vs Favorites! All of those just listed people definitely deserved to win because they played the best game, but that doesn't mean they would have been our first choice to win. We would have picked more "colorful" winners. Plain and simple. I'm kind of stumped that people still believe this stuff. Oh, for the record, they don't have toilets or toilet paper, showers or soap, or make-up, or beds, or secret food stashes, or anything else that would make it more tolerable. The game is real. The game is hard. To "JeffProbstRocks" - you can come over and watch Survivor at my house. Don't hate those poker chip-throwing friends of yours; envy is difficult, try to understand. That's what I do. Once and for all - the final three vs final two debate. It's a matter of choice. Personally I believe that when you have three people in the final you have a better opportunity for a good winner because you cannot simply win the final immunity challenge and then take the least liked person with you to the final vote. For instance, had we planned a final three in Fans vs Favorites, Cirie would have won and everybody would have been happy. But we had a final two planned. So, David Ellen, if we were master manipulators, why not make it a final three and let Cirie win? Enough already. That's just my opinion. For crying out loud, get over it. And for those of you who don't like us switching up the tribes because it screws you up in your Survivor pool, how about this...no switches next season. Straight Survivor. Is that what you want? Two tribes. No switch. One merge. Final 2. Okay, fine. Done. I'll call CBS and tell them I've made a decision. Just don't blame me when the dude from 'N Sync is hosting next season. You should have pleaded the financial need a little more, you might have swayed just one more person to write down your name.

He said he'd never met "these people" before, which is true, technically, but they weren't strangers in the way that he wanted people to think. I kept wondering where Sugar got the lipstick - and eye shadow. And I thought I saw her with a new pair of earrings too. Susie? Love ya girl, but I'm disappointed Sugar didn't get some votes, when she really shaped the way this game went. Talk about your bitter jurors. Just goes to show you - own your moves, and don't piss people off when you don't need to. Both Bob and Susie said they didn't have any strategic moves on their own, and they still got all the votes. Congrats to both Randy and Susie - you both in your own ways made this a memorable season, and not just because you're Pygmies!

Many of the recruits were real boners and wastes of space but what else is new people? I guess we just have to suck it up. My next application is going out this weekend.
