On January 29th, at approx 10pm I noticed that I had received a new voice mail msg. This was a fairly new cell phone a not that many people had my number, they
had my number that I used for work. In the back of my head I was thinking could it be survivor...lol.. When I listened to the message the CA said she was from
survivor not SEG!!!. I went straight to my wife and cousin at the time and said if someone is playing a joke on me I am going to be pissed. Wifey300 said what
the hell are you talking about and seemed real upset that i was accusing her of something when she had no idea what was going on. When I told them it was
survivor my cuz said, she left you a number call and see if its real because that message seemed like the real thing. I called and left her a message that
night . I was fucking freaking out but I was very happy and excited that I finally received this call. The next day which was a Friday I took the day off from
work because my Mom was having surgery in the hospital. I was in a part of the hospital where they enforced NO CELL PHONES!!!! Well next thing I know I get an
unrestricted number, and there was security around so I could not pick it up. My Moms surgery would take a couple of hours so I went outside and called the CA
again because this time she did not leave a message. I told her my mom was in the hospital and I was unable to pick up the phone. I told her I am not going to
believe this is the real thing until I hear back from you.. Five minutes later as I was waiting outside in the cold and my phone rang and it was unrestricted!!
I took a deep breath and answered, and it was SURVIVOR. The CA told me that she understands that I am in the hospital and that she can call me on Monday and it
will NOT hurt my chances in any way. I said thanks very much but I have some free time and I have been waiting for this call for a long time so lets do this!!.
plus I was worried that she may never call me back so I had to do the best I could at that point.....................

The first call was mainly about my family life and what i did for a living. We discussed what kind of strategy I would use towards the end. She gave me LA
final dates and stressed the fact that I needed to take at least a week off and if I were selected I needed about 2 months. I obviously told her no problem to
both. She asked me to e mail her about 5 pictures of me and said that she will call me back in about 1 week.

Val, my video arrived on January 9th I think. Yes she called back exactly a week later. The second call had more to do with how I would deal with different
personalities on the show. She asked if i had ever been arrested and again really stressed that I would need the time off. She also seemed to like the NY
accent. I told her that this is who I am and not to let the accent or bad language that I use fool you. She told me not to be fake and have a filter because
the producers will see right through it. I told her its about time you had a real New Yorker with a new NY accent on the show. She told me that is exactly what
you said in your video and it was one of the reasons why I called. So I used that info she gave me and played up the NYer in me and was just myself. I think
the second call went really well. She told me the next step was the PITCH to Lynee Spillman and it would be within the next week or so. When I did not hear
from her the following week I took it upon myself to call her. She told me I would be pitched on Wednesday and she will call me with a Yes or No answer by
Friday. Friday evening she called with the bad news. She said the producers were looking for the "Dad" to be a bit older. She encourgaed me to keep
trying cause a lot of former survivors did not make it on their first try.

So we can count on an older dad (possibly NYer) type in Samoa and we will BOO him b/c our younger and hotter 300 would have been so much better. And it better
not be a fucking mactor(no offense Ed

My Mom has been through a lot the past year but she is now doing so much better. Thank you very much for asking. The next step would have been for me to goto
LA which was about a week and a half away from my no thank you call. This was my first callback and I told them I applied 3 other times. I am not sure if the
whole older dad was just her way of breaking the news to me but if its true Im gunna hate him..lol. This might be the first time I find survivor hard to watch
because I actually had my foot in the door for 19. I have not sent in another video for 20 because I really did not think I needed to.

Im curious, did they say anything about your previous appliations, did they remember you from them, did they even know you had sent in ones before. I always
