Pygmy Poster Posts: 90 05/29/09 03:09 PM	Well for what may be the last time... I sent out another application today. I had the most trouble getting motivated to send it out... I guess in part because Samoa is probably all cast, and all the rumors of S20 being the end/All-Stars I don't even know if they will even bother watching my video or just throw it in the trash. But in the case that 20 isn't the end, or fans are involved somehow, I would probably have kicked myself for not sending in a tape. So now it is out of my hands, and hopefully S20 isn't the end... and if it is... fans are involved somehow. I didn't even film a new video. I just took pieces from some of my previous audition videos and put it together. It was kind of funny watching all of my previous videos for clips to use. If this is the last time I am able to apply, I had fun during the process, and have all my old audition videos to just look at and laugh at myself... haha

I can't imagine NOT sending one in--just because of the idea that I would be sitting home wondering "what if" for the rest of my life. In response to 300, I know they watch more then ten seconds of most tapes--but hey, maybe a 50 would make them a little more interested before they go and blow the money at the bars. I still don't think s20 will be an entirely all-star season (if all-stars at all). It just wouldn't make sense--why would they hold 6 or 7 new casting calls after they've basically got the samoa cast booked? Let's hope s20 is a full NEW cast, and if samoa is a success, hopefully they'll hold off on ASS2 until season 24---wishful thinking, right? Best of luck to everyone. SEG, call me.

It was an app that specifically said that I'd prefer 19 to 20. Of course, my batting average is still a perfect zero point zero zero on callbacks, so I'm wondering - do I even bother sending in another? Will it tick them off? WAIT A SECOND... How will "ticking them off" hurt me any more than my current sucky response percentage indicate? Will they somehow not call me with greater conviction? Will they call to say "please stop this!" Will they be so pissed that they'l tell each other - "let's not call this person, just to show her..." Yeah. Here's the weird thing. I have nothing else to tell them. They know me, if they bothered to read the last couple of apps. It's all there. The thought that I didn't fit a demographic "slot" in S6-19, but wow - for 20 I'm perfecto, is about the only thing that would make me consider applying again. Oh, I probably will, but really - for all of us who've applied more than a few times, what else needs to be said in those responses, or on the video tape?

Pygmy Chief Posts: 2322 05/31/09 02:16 PM The Pygmy Island Architect She started building on day 1	I used to not have anything for an answer to the question "what do you like to talk about at dinner parties?", because, well, I don't really go to a whole lot of dinner parties. But I went to one last night, where, despite being halfway through my 40's, felt like a kid on account everyone was older than me (and they looked it!). But two of the guys not only pawed me and hugged me (one even said "oh I remember you from the New Year's Eve party - you were really hot for me" [zoinks! I told him I remembered him, but that last time I saw him he had more hair], they did all their touchy-feely huggy stuff right in front of their wives. Classless. And we also talked politics and how health insurance should not be provided for free to illegal immigrants nor should it be expanded to families with incomes of 70,000+ (thankfully that just died in the Texas legislature). Lots of Obama talk, Bush talk, recession talk, and how the media is hyping up EVERYTHING into something it probably isn't. So yeah, my answer will now be sex and politics. They kind of go hand in hand, don't they?
