I have yet to apply more times as some who were just as discouraged but were finally called. Dropping out now is like selling your stock at its all-time low
locking in your losses. It will all be over soon enough, keep applying while you may still have a chance.

If the SEG notes say "NO"... then you are wasting your time..
If they say "Maybe".. then there is hope, If they say "very possible" _ then it means they are just waiting for the right season.. If they say " L)p" ...It means NO CHANCE IN HELL! Hahahahahaha Never say Never until they do... that is my motto... ![]()

According to L)P, the following were recruited: Jerry, Sydney, Brendan, Tyson, Stephen, Joe, Carolina, Debra, Sierra, Erinn and Taj. So why bother applying
when SEG recruits the majority of the cast and there is, on rare occasions, only one slot available for my "type"?
I'm taking another tack. My face is out there now and I intend getting it out in the public eye as much as I can. Am I doing this just for Survivor? No, but it can't hurt my chances. If they want to recruit, so be it; c'mon Lynne, try me on for size. In the meantime, I'm having a ball and living large! See you in the movies!

At the end of the day, I'd really like to be on Survivor, but it doesn't make or break me. I can honestly say that the best
part of this whole ride over the past 5 or so years has been talking with and arguing with the interesting people that I've met in here and other places
and with whom I stay in touch. And of course, the opportunity to play a demented King in here is pretty cool too. Just remember folks, it is just a TV show
and if you don't get an opportunity to show off what you've got to the world on Survivor, you'll find another way and the kudos will come if
deserved.

CBS is run by morons | #26 | ||
|
This country has lots of morons. We are breeding new ones almost as fast as the Treasury can print our national wallpaper currency. A talented guy, Mark
Burnett, handed CBS Survivor - after they had repeatedly turned him down. The suits at corporations like CBS think they are geniuses, they are the same clones
that might as well have been structuring SIVs and CDOs at Lehman Brothers. The few good companies left in America don't have a business model that insults
and plays their most loyal customers as a bunch of chumps. This is how you lose $10 billion of stockholder market cap, as the braintrust at CBS has done. Mark
Burnett hands them something creative ... their input into making it better? Find me some more tits and ass at the local Taco stand.
I've applied 17 times. So I guess that makes me a schmuck and a chump. But I have repeatedly shorted CBS' stock over the last four years. I'll get my million out of CBS one way or another. So that's my advice, spend $100 bucks on your application and short $1,000 of CBS stock. If they start casting fans, cover. |

Nice pic Po makes Arnold Ziffle look like a pansy. I didn't do a tape because of poor health and some dumb ass kid was holding my camera hostage. I bet
they were glad not to see me, if in fact they look. I enjoyed every tape I a made and every audition I went to. It makes me question who I am and what the fuck
am I doing. Plus some fun stuff happened and it is a good excuse to take off work.
Did you do the mud yourself Po or do you have a makeup artist. I have got into photography but I like nudes. I think I would like to do HD video. Everyone else does portraits, landscapes and pigs. I still would like a shot at survivor even with all the pain I have. Can't be all that hard. I wish I was plastic enough to make the show. The fact that they still use vhs is weird. Cheers to all you guys and gals that put a tape in. If its all about business then survivor is going to take a hit too. Nobody will advertise on a show that doesn't draw viewers. I wonder which shows had the most viewers and which shows had the fewest recruited players. I hate that some old woman doesn't know what a fucking pace or a palm tree is.

I guess I have this infinite hope that even if they only cast a couple of actual applicants each season that I would be one of them someday. Call it what you
will, but to me it is eternal optimism (I think it's a good thing.) When the show is gone then I'll realize it has either already happened for me or
that I'll never have the chance. I get a little frustrated occasionally, especially when I feel like this is my best app ever, but I keep doing it.
At lease we have this place (for a couple more yrs) to talk to others with this same dream and even to brush elbows so to speak with a few who have lived it out already. |

They can't get models that are characters like the redneck woman that doesn't know what a pace is. You would have to be an extremely accomplished
actress to pull off someone that hick town and stupid. Kind of like Coal Miners Daughter. You just cant fake white trash for 39 days. What they haven't
done is stupid young white trash. Like a Miley Cyrus that can't sing and doesn't know what a pace is but got laid when she was 12.

Yes, but are we skilled enough to walk around with just a shirt covering our ass? Or better yet, dancing the pygmy dance with your tag-along pressed against

Thats my point they get models to play normal people they get real people that are ruperts, lils, fairplays 24 -7, I bet Rupert is unemployed. They get
attorneys to play themselves overbearing assholes. Hmm I should have been an attorney like my alcoholic father.

I too have given up. After lurking here for years and applying 8 times with not so much as wrong number from SEG I'm finished.
I still love the show and have enjoyed reading all the thoughts of many other folks who somehow thought that they would be seriously considered for the game. My thanks to the Laughing Pygmy for all that he does for us crazy people. You are truely a "good guy" and have always made this place a wealth of good information about "our passion". I'll just keep watching, Woobie |

Looking back a couple of years maybe it was a mid-life crisis event that made me think I could do this Survivor thing. At least I could try and I did. Oh yeah,
I'm a little past mid-life unless I live to be about 112. It may be time to leave those dreams behind that will never bear fruit. I may still send in a
token recycled application just as a final act to satisfy my extended denial stage.
But now what? Walk-on tryouts for the Washington Redskins this year? Anyone have a red 'vette' convertible they wanna sell? Better own one of those while I can still drive and have some hair left to blow in the wind. Skydiving maybe? ...did I mention my Dad's a Survivor fan too? He's so proud of me. |
