I don't think I ever showed you the audition video I sent in to SEG when I got my call (they initially could not locate a video for me, so they called and said they liked my application from the casting call I went to and asked me to send a video...I had this one from the time prior and so I sent it in and they loved it). Oh, well, and the one where I rapped..."My name is Leslie, but you can call me Mom...this is my daughter Stephanie, this is my son Tom...I'm the ultimate survivor, I got it goin' on, I got the brains to make it, I even got the brawn..." haha.... What am I up to these days? Well, I'm no longer on the radio but I'm speaking/writing and being a mom full time now! You can check out my website at www.leslienease.com. I'm also working on a book called "Get Gutsy for God" so hopefully, it will be out next year (Lord willing!). Other than that, I'm just being me. You quickly learn what things you have in common as you parse the words of someone's journal when they're going through one of their most powerful life experiences. I've noticed that the times I've gotten calls are usually when I didn't care for the video I sent. And the times I've been ignored are usually when I thought I had the PERFECT tape. Go figure... And I've read your "Journey to Survivor." It's great!

You wrote that, "I waited over five years for the chance to compete, had eleven auditions in those many years and then had to wait to find out if I was going for sure until about a week before we left after months of interviews and emails." What exactly do you mean by eleven auditions? Do you mean semis? I'm a little confused. BTW, thank you for making your "Journey to Survivor" available to us online. It was an intriguing read. Pygmy Chatterbox Posts: 172 02/09/09 08:37 PM Pygmy Pal	IBWANNABE - I actually meant 11 audition videos/attempts/casting calls. I never got a phone call or anything until the 11th attempt. I hope that clears it up! Sixteen - Did I know they were gonna call? No way. I always hoped they would but was shocked that they did finally call. I believe my first words to the casting agent were "*It's about time*!" I was on my way to Target to go shopping for my daughter's school project and about ran off the road! LOL And you are not a square. hee hee
