I am sensing danger for this young whipper snapper tonight. His edit has faded and his character has been very quiet the last few weeks. Now with Marcus gone, what will he do? How does he recover, will he be a player and manage to hold on?

Just to play devil's advocate here, but this guy could be surprising. I'm not saying that I really like the guy but he may do well in the game. gdpt already mentioned that he looks like Todd, and I think he seems to have a similar personality. I guess we will see.

Yeah, he really got himself on the show ... yet Eliza admits they were recruiting for a law student / recent law graduate and asked her for referrals. That put old Charlie in a whole different pile from those who actually had the drive to apply on their own and weren't just sitting back passively, never even trying to audition because the chances seemed (as Charlie himself is quoted as saying) equivalent to trying to win the lottery. Quite the go-getter ya got there, Lynne!

Yeah, I am "too close" to the show... but all the cast (besides the applicants) are filled with friends and relatives and sex partners and bar-maids and gay lovers of the past and present survivors or SEG youth.
It makes no sense at all to me.

Bounty implies a reward or at the very least a small cash payment from SEG/CBS/casting department to the recruiting Survivor. Wouldn't that be fair and motivate referrals if that's such a superior way to find a cast? Afterall we've often heard the complaints from casting people about how awfully difficult it is to find good contestants. Or maybe the folks in the casting department just like to complain and kvetch like I do. I'd also hate to have the ex-Survivors be chumps and...

Moral of the story: it looks like the correct answer to that question on the application, "Do you know any former Survivors?" is: "Yes, I'm bestest buds with --------- [insert name of castaway, so long as it's not anyone from Survivor:Fiji]"!

Funny, I long assumed they asked this in order to weed out family, friends & co-workers of past Survivors in their tireless quest for diversity and freshness in casting.
